Mick Jagger to have heart valve replacement surgery – Tour Postponed
What started out as an apology on twitter for having to cancel shows due to “doctor advised medical treatment” has turned into surgery. March 30th Mick Jagger tweeted the following…
“I’m so sorry to all our fans in America & Canada with tickets. I really hate letting you down like this. I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can. Once again, huge apologies to everyone.”
Mick Jagger, 75, will undergo heart valve replacement surgery in New York City this week. According to healthline.com a recent study found that aortic valve replacement surgery has a 94 percent five-year survival rate. New York Post’s Page Six website, citing unidentified sources, said the surgery would involve placing a stent in the singer’s heart.
Fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets as they’ll be valid at the rescheduled shows.
